Yeah, I’ve blown this off for two weeks now. I also haven’t been using my ‘timesheet’ method of self-motivation. There are reasons. The main one being that each time I start a new medicine, I get to adapt to a new round of side effects. This last one gave me the ‘sleeping 18 hours/day’ side effect. Thankfully, that has subsided, and I’m back to my normal insomnia. Still, it’s better than the ‘overwhelming nausea’ side effect from before, but not as good as the ‘mania-inducing energy boost’ side effect from before that.
I just started another new one, so it’s honestly not likely to change over the next week or so. I’m thrilled that I finally have insurance, and can finally work on some of my health stuff, but damn, I forgot how rotten dealing with doctors, insurance, and pills is. Still, small price to pay to get my shit back together.
So I’m trying to think of good things to post about. We got our tax return, and I was able to shop for watercolors. So I created my palette. There are some other colors I want to fill in, but for right now, I have a basic set. And I’ve toyed around with them a little, but haven’t done anything serious yet.
Also, this week I’m staying at my mom’s house while she’s out of town, and I’m treating that like an art retreat. I have some ideas for some things to paint, and I’ve brought AOC to revise/edit. She also has a large tub. I’ll be using that for sure. I also intend to try to find out why people dig Tumblr so much. I had one a long time ago, and I’ve had AmieRavenson.Tumblr.com registered for a year now, I’ve just never used it. I feel like I have about that much attention span to spare, so we’ll see what happens.
Also, Spring is pretty. 🙂
